PAUL BASSETT ESPRESSO

Developed by Paul Bassett prior to winning the World Barista Championship, this coffee was served to the judges and was an integral part of his victory. Specialty coffee associations of America and Europe Quote "The best barista can not win without the best coffee".

The blend is caramel rich and chocolaty on the palate, delivering wild berry characteristics, delicate acidity and superb body. Select Estate grown coffees from Brazil and Ethiopia are predominantly used in the blend to create its distinct sensory profile.

Each estate coffee is individually roasted applying a specific temperature ramping profile and fast cooling period to maximise the aromatic sweetness and enhance the coffees organic profile. The coffee is then immediately vacuumed and nitrogen flushed giving a perfect environment for a unique age management system, where by the coffee is cellared and stabilised until ready for optimal use.

PROMOTION

Paul will be made available for 1 x 5 hour promotional in store demonstration/appearance.

 

BARISTA TRAINING

Fundamental to delivering on cup quality and consistency, 2 x 3 hour training sessions per year will be delivered by Paul or an approved barista trainer.

 

CONSULTING

Paul will offer his expertise in the areas of creative product development, calibration and setting of machinery, optimal workspace and operating systems for consistency, speed and quality.

 

TASTING

A cupping/tasting session will be conducted to give staff and baristas an in depth understanding of the blends sensory characteristics and composition.

 

QUALITY ASSURANCE

Espresso quality control checks will be made on going so that constructive feed back can be given to customers and to also uphold the integrity of the brand. Product may be refused to customers if the cup quality is not maintained.

 

MACHINERY

Select espresso equipment will be allowed for use with Paul's blend. Paul will facilitate with the purchasing of equipment and the on going preventative maintenance and technical servicing.

 

BRANDING AND MERCHANDISING

The Paul Bassett logo will be made available for most merchandising such as umbrellas or wind brakes, final proofing of the brands use will be required. Recommendations regarding suppliers of merchandising product will be offered and all purchases will be at client's expenses.
